Bright Range Powers Live Stream of American Le Mans Series at Laguna Seca

Laguna Seca provides one of the most beautiful backdrops for sports car racing in America. But not all fans could make it to California for the race. Bright Range, with its partner, TodoCast, provided American Le Mans fans the opportunity to watch all six hours of the race via a high-definition Internet video stream.
This year's Laguna Seca event was not televised live. The Series, which bills itself as having one of the strongest relationships with its fans in motorsports, worked with Bright Range to develop a strategy for a full Internet broadcast. Bright Range, which manages the web and mobile properties for the Series, identified TodoCast as an ideal partner to help bring the event to the Internet. TodoCast offers products and services related to live streaming, including the ability to transmit video and data feeds from remote locations like Laguna Seca.
The online event featured not only green to checkered flag video coverage, but also included a live Facebook chat, news posts from Twitter, and an integrated live timing and scoring Flash app Bright Range developed. The result was a completely immersive, fan-centric online experience.
The event turned out to be a major success for the Series, which received hundreds of messages from fans who were delighted to have access to the unprecedented coverage. In addition, thousands of fans have continued to watch the event as part of TodoCast's video-on-demand service. The Series should be announcing shortly its plans for Internet broadcast of future events.
